Who qualifies
- Any nationality, with a passport valid for at least 6 months.
- You arrive at Phu Quoc International Airport or an island seaport on an international route.
- You stay on Phu Quoc for 30 days or less and do not travel on to the mainland.
Flying in via Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City
Many flights to Phu Quoc connect in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. You can still use the visa-free entry if you stay in the international transit area and pass immigration on Phu Quoc. If your connection makes you go through immigration on the mainland first, you need an e-Visa. Check with your airline before you book.
When you still need an e-Visa
- You want to visit Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi or anywhere else on the mainland.
- You will stay longer than 30 days.
- Your route makes you clear immigration somewhere other than Phu Quoc.
The 90-day e-Visa covers the whole country, including Phu Quoc, and can be issued urgently if your plans change.
