Check your status on the official portal
- Open evisa.gov.vn and choose the e-Visa search option.
- Enter the application code from your confirmation email.
- Enter the email address and date of birth you used on the form.
- Read the result. If it is approved, download the e-Visa PDF and print it.
What each status means
- In processing: the application is with Vietnam Immigration. Standard processing usually takes 3 to 5 working days.
- Approved: your e-Visa is ready to download. Check every detail against your passport.
- Not approved or needs changes: the application was refused or the details need correcting. You usually need to apply again.
Still processing and flying soon?
If your flight is in the next day or two and the status has not changed, ask for the application to be expedited, or apply for an emergency e-Visa, which can be issued within 60 minutes on working days.
Applied through an agency?
The agency files the application in its system, so you may not have a code to search with. Use the agency’s own tracking page or message the team, and they will tell you the status and send the e-Visa when it is ready.
