Each child needs their own passport and e-Visa
Children cannot travel on a parent’s e-Visa. Make sure each child’s passport is valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date. Babies’ passports often have short validity, so check the expiry date before you book.
Photo tips for babies and young children
- Lay a baby on a plain white sheet and take the photo from above.
- Eyes should be open and facing the camera, with no hands, toys or dummies in the picture.
- Use daylight from a window instead of the flash to avoid shadows.
Prices and documents for families
Visa prices are per person, children included. A family of four on standard processing pays four times the single price. If a child is travelling with only one parent, or with grandparents, carry a signed consent letter from the absent parent and the child’s birth certificate. Vietnam may not always ask, but airlines sometimes do.
